The mission of the FAB Gallery at South Carolina State University is to encourage an appreciation and understanding of art and its role in society through direct engagement with original works of art. Working in conjunction with the Visual Arts Program, FAB programming stimulates active learning about the art-making process through exhibitions, artist lectures, gallery talks and organized group discussions. SCSU students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the local community benefit from the exposure to a variety of regionally and nationally recognized artists. The FAB Gallery organizes exhibitions and educational programs designed to enhance student success and achievement through direct access to the works of contemporary artists and designers, as well as to promote the visual arts in the community.
