The Center for Contemporary Arts

The Center for Contemporary Arts is a vibrant cultural hub dedicated to fostering creativity, learning, and community connection through the arts. Since its founding in 1989, this nonprofit organization has become a cornerstone of artistic expression and education, welcoming more than 26,000 visitors annually. With a mission to inspire and empower artists, children, and the broader community, the Center embraces inclusivity and accessibility, offering free admission to all exhibitions and public programs.

Housed within its dynamic space are five distinct galleries, each showcasing a rotating lineup of compelling exhibitions. One gallery is dedicated entirely to photography, while others present a range of regional and international artwork across various media, including painting, sculpture, mixed media, and film. In addition to visual art, the Center also features award-winning short films, further expanding the breadth of its programming.

More than just an exhibition space, the Center supports the working artist community by providing ten studio rentals and cultivating a membership of over 60 artists. These creative individuals contribute to the Center’s lively environment and are often involved in community outreach, workshops, and educational programming.
