MoMA PS1

MoMA PS1, nestled in the vibrant neighborhood of Long Island City, Queens, is one of the longest-standing and most innovative institutions dedicated to contemporary art in the United States. Originally founded by curator Alanna Heiss in 1971 as part of the Institute for Art and Urban Resources, the museum began its journey by transforming underutilized spaces across New York City into studios and exhibition sites.
