Samantha Yancey is a Mississippi-born artist drawn to the subtle intersections of nature,
kinship, and lived experience. Her work has been exhibited internationally and featured in print
and online publications. In her recent series, Fay and Gay, she documents the lifelong devotion
and unity of twin sisters, capturing quiet strength, tenderness, and daily rituals. Across her
work, Yancey explores intimacy and the enduring beauty of everyday life within Southern
identity. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Photography from the Art Institute of Atlanta (2012)
and lives in Jackson, Mississippi, where she continues to explore the stories and rhythms of
the people and places around her.
