George Dian Balan is a multi-award winning fine art wildlife photographer, scientist, author, inspirational speaker and world records discoverer, specialised in world record and world class individuals in iconic megafauna species. He creates timeless images by using an immersive approach, portraying as never seen before giants that have captured our imagination. The resulting frames are cinematic, of the kind that one expects from a Jurassic Park opening scene. He pays much attention not only to the subject selection, perspective and composition, but also to body postures. The artistic question he asked himself is: “if a Statue, a Monument were to be raised to a species, what would that look like?” Dian innovates a lot and uses a plethora of photography techniques, including remotes and camera traps. He is the first to take several award-winning images of elephants as seen from inside a baobab tree. He was a member of the jury of the Golden Turtle Photography Awards (2023) and the Jackson Wild Film Festival (2022) and the curator of the exhibition Europe's Wild Heart (Brussels, 2019). He also was a three-time contributor to Prints for Wildlife, the world’s most financially successful fundraising of its kind, and one of his Asian Super Tusker images was a lead visual for the 2025 campaign. Dian has over 11 years of artistic, scientific and conservation experience working with big-tusked African and Asian elephants. Dian is an accomplished speaker on biodiversity and environmental issues at events in Africa, Asia, Europe and North America. For him, a thorough research is key when choosing his photographic subjects or deciphering the megafauna science. This is how he became the world leading expert in big tusked elephants, discovering for the first time in more than 100 years two New World Records: the longest Asian elephant tusk (almost 3.3 m) and thickest Asian elephant tusk (58 cm).

I’m Aindreas Scholz, a photographer and educator based in London, UK, working with analogue and cameraless photographic processes. Growing up between Ireland and Germany in a bilingual family shaped how I think about place, belonging, and the environments we move through. My practice is slow and material-led, often collaborating with sunlight, polluted seawater, acidic rain, and vulnerable plant specimens to make images that hold traces of ecological change and deep time.

A graduate of the École des Beaux-Arts, Damien Aubin develops a photographic language at the intersection of architectural study and sociological reflection. His process is rooted in rigorous technical standards, primarily utilizing the 4x5 large format camera and medium format digital systems. This choice of equipment dictates a specific relationship with time—a deliberate slowness that allows him to deconstruct the complexity of the structures he observes. By using a large format camera, he doesn’t merely capture an image; he constructs a perspective where geometric precision dialogues with the silence of space. His work questions the individual’s place. within monumental systems, seeking in every frame the fragile balance between built ambition and the inertia of the urban landscape.. Yuji Watanabe is a photographer based in Paris and Tokyo. His analog photography work reflects a mix of fantasy, darkness and romance navigating between a real and unreal world.

Cheng Zhu (Alias Max Chu) is a distinguished Chinese photographer, film director, and artist whose creative vision is deeply rooted in the highlands of Tibet. For years, he has immersed himself in the Tibetan landscape, dedicated to documenting the region’s profound humanistic spirit through the lens of his Leica. Specialized in portraiture, street photography, and capturing the candid essence of childhood, Cheng has amassed an extraordinary archive of over one million photographs. His dual mastery of the still and moving image defines his unique perspective. As a filmmaker, his cinematic works have earned prestigious recognition at top-tier international festivals, including the Cannes Film Festival and the Venice International Film Festival. This directorial eye translates into his photography as a powerful narrative depth and a relentless pursuit of the essence of life. Cheng’s work is a testament to the "vitality of existence." He possesses a rare ability to perceive and portray the warmest nuances of human nature, even in the most rugged environments. His dedication to the craft has been recognized globally: to date, 410 of his photographs have been selected by the LFI (Leica Fotografie International) Gallery, including two "Picture of the Week" honors. Driven by a philosophy of discovering, recording, and sharing beauty, Cheng Zhu continues to use his Leica to bridge the gap between the fleeting moment and eternity.

I am a Mexican visual artist. My work explores human movement, focusing on migration from within the migrant experience itself and the traces it leaves behind. I draw on anthropological tools to approach migration as a social phenomenon. Photography has always been my starting point, which I expand by incorporating other audiovisual languages. I have exhibited my work at Museo Carrillo Gil, Museo Universitario del Chopo, Centro de la Imagen, Centro Cultural de España, and Alianza Francesa de México, among others, as well as internationally in Colombia, Chile, Denmark, France, Germany, Morocco, Puerto Rico, Spain, and the United States. In 2019, I was a beneficiary of the FONCA Artistic Residence grant. In 2017, I was selected for the exhibition “The Great Machine IV” at Embarrat, Festival of Contemporary Creation in Spain; for “Caledoscopio steady-cam,” presented at the 1st International Week of Video Creation in Lanzarote; and for the “3rd Contemporary Photography Competition in Mexico.” In 2016, I was selected for the “XII Femsa Biennial” and the “2nd National Biennial of Landscape.” In 2013, I was awarded First Place in the “19th Latin American Documentary Photography Contest” in Colombia and Third Place in the “XXXII ENAH Anthropological Photography Contest.” In 2010, I received the FONCA grant for the promotion of projects and cultural co-investment for the publication of the book Guadalupe.
