Magnum Square Print Sale in Partnership with The Photographers’ Gallery: Odyssey

March 23 - March 29, 2026

Over 100 signed or estate-stamped, museum-quality 6x6” prints will be available online for one week, starting at $110/£110/€120

Odyssey is more than a journey—it is a profound exploration of meaning, transformation, and human resilience. Drawing inspiration from the enduring legacy of Homer’s Odyssey, this Square Print Sale reflects the timeless idea of travel as both a physical and emotional passage. Bringing together a curated selection of work from over 100 internationally acclaimed photographers, the collection maps the diverse paths we take across borders, through memory, and into the unknown. Presented in collaboration with The Photographers’ Gallery, this special edition features works by renowned artists including Martin Parr, Daidō Moriyama, Eve Arnold, Nadav Kander, Steve McCurry, Juno Calypso, Karen Knorr, and many more.

Rooted in the long-standing documentary and artistic traditions of Magnum Photos, a collective founded in 1947 and widely recognized for its commitment to independent visual storytelling, Odyssey highlights photography as a powerful medium of observation and reflection. “Odyssey considers photography as a sustained act of looking,” says Michael Sargeant, Global Digital Director for Magnum Photos. “It speaks to journeys undertaken—sometimes perilously, as in Homer’s epic poem, and sometimes through long-term engagement with people, places, and ideas. The theme reflects Magnum’s diversity of practice and its near 80-year commitment to author-driven work.” The Square Print Sale continues to play a vital role in supporting photographers and sustaining this legacy of visual storytelling.

This collaboration also underscores the mission of The Photographers’ Gallery, one of the UK’s leading institutions dedicated to photography. “We are delighted to be partnering with Magnum again on the Square Print Sale,” says Shoair Mavlian, Director of The Photographers’ Gallery. “It is a unique opportunity to present a wide range of artistic perspectives on what ‘Odyssey’ can represent—from migration and displacement to introspection and identity. The initiative makes exceptional photography accessible to a broader audience, while supporting our charitable work and ongoing exhibitions.”

From epic migrations and global travel narratives to intimate moments of personal reflection, the photographs in Odyssey span decades and continents. They capture the intersections of culture, politics, and everyday life, revealing how individual experiences often echo broader societal shifts. Through documentary, portraiture, and conceptual approaches, each image becomes a visual waypoint—part of a larger story about movement, discovery, and change. This diversity of perspectives reinforces photography’s role in shaping how we understand the world and our place within it.

Designed for both seasoned collectors and new audiences, the Square Print Sale offers over 100 signed or estate-stamped, museum-quality 6x6” prints. Available exclusively online for one week, prints start at accessible price points of $110 / £110 / €120, making it an exceptional opportunity to collect limited-edition works by some of the most influential photographers working today.

Ultimately, Odyssey invites viewers to reflect on their own journeys—past, present, and future. Where have we been? Where are we going? Through powerful visual storytelling and global perspectives, this collection offers a compelling meditation on the experiences that shape who we are and how we see the world.

“I always enjoy shooting queues — the British are very good at doing this. I was very excited when I saw this queue for St Michael’s Mount. It took me a while to fi nd the right viewpoint and then wait for the line of people to be clear to ensure there were no people pushing in.” - Martin Parr
