The Rowan University Art Gallery & Museum is a dynamic cultural hub located in the heart of South Jersey, dedicated to presenting contemporary art that is both relevant and thought-provoking. Serving the Rowan community and the broader region, the gallery fosters an environment where inclusivity, dialogue, and creative exchange thrive. It offers a platform for interdisciplinary engagement, connecting artists, students, faculty, and the public through exhibitions, talks, and collaborative programs.

At the core of its mission is a commitment to showcasing diverse artistic voices that challenge perspectives and reflect current cultural and social issues. The gallery not only enhances the cultural life of the university but also contributes to the artistic landscape of the region, encouraging curiosity and a deeper understanding of contemporary art practices.

Rowan’s gallery and museum program operates across two primary venues. The 301 High Street Gallery presents curated exhibitions by professional artists and is conveniently situated at the intersection of campus and downtown Glassboro, making it a vibrant space for both student interaction and public visitation. Meanwhile, CASE Gallery @ Westby, housed within Westby Hall, serves as a unique site for exploring social issues through creative expression, with a permanent feature of *The Sister Chapel*, a landmark feminist collaborative installation.

The gallery regularly collaborates with academic departments across disciplines such as engineering, sociology, gender studies, and environmental science, fostering projects that reflect the interconnectedness of art and society. It has hosted exhibitions by internationally acclaimed artists like Mel Chin, Willie Cole, Saya Woolfalk, and Wendy Red Star, among others.

Recognized for its excellence, Rowan University Art Gallery has received honors such as the New Jersey State Council on the Arts Citation of Excellence and support from the National Endowment for the Arts, underscoring its impact as a leading center for contemporary art in the region.
