The Crealdé School of Art Photography Program offers a vibrant and comprehensive environment for students at all skill levels to explore the art and craft of photography. With over 20 specialized classes, the program accommodates everyone from beginners seeking foundational skills to professional photographers refining their technical expertise. Courses cover a wide range of topics, including both film and digital photography, allowing students to pursue careers in fine art, commercial, and professional photography.

Film photographers benefit from one of Orlando’s finest darkroom facilities, featuring ten workstations that accommodate formats from 35mm to 4×5, alongside a dedicated film processing and finishing area. This hands-on environment provides students the opportunity to master traditional photographic techniques, experiment with alternative processes, and fully understand the intricacies of image development. In parallel, digital students have access to state-of-the-art classrooms equipped with nine computer stations for post-processing and editing, enabling them to manipulate and perfect their images with industry-standard software.

The Crealdé digital print lab and finishing area further extend students’ capabilities, offering the tools to transform digital files into high-quality prints and to digitize film negatives for preservation or advanced editing. This integration of analog and digital practices ensures that students develop a versatile skill set, preparing them for the diverse demands of contemporary photography.

In addition to technical instruction, the program emphasizes creative exploration and professional development. Faculty members, experienced in both artistic and commercial photography, provide mentorship and guidance, encouraging students to refine their unique visual voice. Whether pursuing experimental fine art, portraiture, commercial assignments, or exhibition work, students leave the Crealdé Photography Program with a comprehensive understanding of photographic processes, technical expertise, and the creative confidence necessary to succeed in a professional photographic career.
