After John Cleary’s passing in 2008, long-time gallery director Catherine Couturier assumed ownership, carrying forward the gallery’s legacy while imprinting it with her own vision and curatorial sensibility.

The gallery continues to honor its roots in mid-century photography—particularly French street photography and evocative portraits—while embracing a wider spectrum of contemporary work. Today, the collection reflects a broad and evolving range of styles, techniques, and voices, from classic black-and-white imagery to conceptual and narrative-driven contemporary pieces.
