By creating a citywide canvas of vibrant, thought-provoking works, the organization enriches both the visual landscape and the lives of the people who experience and contribute to it.

At the heart of ArtWorks is a mission to empower artists and youth through employment and mentorship. The organization has trained and employed thousands of young people, ages 14 to 24, in partnership with professional artists who serve not just as creative leaders but as mentors shaping the next generation of talent. This model supports the region’s creative economy by offering real-world experience and instilling 21st-century skills in teamwork, leadership, and innovation.

With more than 300 permanent outdoor murals and over 14,000 public and private projects across Cincinnati, ArtWorks has helped turn the city into a dynamic, living gallery. From large-scale murals that tell community stories to small-scale installations that brighten city corners, the projects reflect the rich cultural fabric of the area and inspire civic pride.
