SE Center for Photography

The SE Center for Photography, established in 2015, is a dynamic space dedicated to showcasing the work of photographers from around the world. Through its commitment to monthly juried exhibitions, the center provides an invaluable platform for photographers of all levels to share their vision with collectors, curators, and fellow artists. By fostering a space for creative exchange, it helps emerging and established photographers gain visibility and recognition.

Located in the heart of downtown Greenville, South Carolina, the SE Center serves as a cultural hub for photography in the Southeast. Positioned strategically between Atlanta and Charlotte, the center reaches a broad audience, drawing in visitors from across the region and beyond. With a growing reputation, the center continues to expand its influence, attracting photographers from over 85 countries.

Each year, the SE Center hosts 12 juried exhibitions, featuring work selected by esteemed curators, gallerists, publishers, and photographers who are leaders in the field. This process not only elevates the work on display but also offers artists an opportunity to connect with key figures in the photography world who can help advance their careers. In addition to juried shows, the center invites exceptional photographers to participate in solo and group exhibitions, often selecting artists directly from previous competitions.

Since its inception, the SE Center has hosted more than 150 exhibitions, establishing itself as a vital force in contemporary photography. The staff, all working photographers and artists themselves, bring firsthand knowledge of the challenges and aspirations within the field.
