The Icon International Photography Awards
Territory: Worldwide
Theme: Several categories
Eligibility: Open to all
Entry Fees: $60
The Icon International Photography Awards is an annual competition that celebrates iconic photography and aims to elevate the industry through inspiration and education.

The awards feature a wide range of categories, including wedding, pre-wedding, and various portrait disciplines such as boudoir, newborn, pets, and family.
The competition welcomes all styles, from limited post-production to fantastical composites and in-camera artistry.

There are two separate competitions:

An online digital competition with entries accepted until October 1, 2025.

An in-person print competition held at the WPPI convention in Las Vegas.

The Icon Awards continue the legacy of the prestigious WPPI competition and will match your former WPPI Honours of Excellence designations and accreditation points.
To be eligible for the in-person print competition, you must first enter the digital competition.
The top 10 finalists from each digital category will be invited to submit for the annual in-person event.

WEDDING DIVISION
The Wedding Division is for commissioned photographs taken of real couples on their wedding day or union or vow renewal.
We understand some multicultural weddings last several days, and images are also allowed from the events over those days.
Second or associate photographers may enter images only if it was not directed, organised, or posed by the principal photographer.

PRE-WEDDING DIVISION
The Pre-Wedding Division is for wedding-styled photos taken before or after the wedding day, including but not limited to engagement sessions, destination wedding sessions, styled shoots, or any wedding-style images taken with models.
Images in this category may be commissioned or self-commissioned.

PORTRAIT DIVISION
The Portrait Division includes commissioned and self-commissioned traditional, corporate, travel, creative and interpretive portraiture.

CREATIVE DIVISION
The Creative Division provides a license to illustrate subjects, objects, and ideas for personal or commissioned work.
Images may be representative, impressionistic, or abstract, with few limitations in post-production.

IN-CAMERA ARTISTRY DIVISION
This category promotes in-camera artistry with images straight out of the camera with no raw adjustments, retouching, or post-production.
Post-production and adjustments of any kind to the file, in or out of the camera, are not permitted.
Entrants may only enter a RAW file with an accompanying non-manipulated jpg from the RAW file.
Images in other divisions may also be entered into an In-Camera Artistry category.
There is no limit on the number of entries that can be entered into both the In-Camera Artistry categories and other divisions.
