After extended time at home for all of us lately, we wanted to develop a themed award that offers a specific opportunity for photographers to share work that creatively expresses and explores their experience and interpretation of home. There are no limits in terms of genre, method, subject matter — our international jury is looking to showcase 37 talented photographers who are responding to the idea of 'home', however it relates to you.

Awards include being published in a dedicated photobook featuring all winners and finalists, an online solo exhibition, cash grants, and international media coverage. This prize is open to photographers of all levels of experience and the work you submit can be created at any time, not just in the past year.

Carmignac Photojournalism Award - 14th edition Afghanistan: No Woman's Land

The 14th edition of the Carmignac Photojournalism Award is dedicated to the condition of women and girls in Afghanistan following the return of the Taliban to power in August 2021. The Award was granted to the reporting project proposed by the duo of Canadian-Iranian photojournalist Kiana Hayeri and French researcher Mélissa Cornet, which was produced over a six-month period with the support of the Fondation Carmignac.
