For this new edition, LensCulture is seeking photographers whose portraits stand apart through strong vision, emotional depth, and creative originality, highlighting the power of portraiture to tell compelling human stories.
For more than two decades, LensCulture has helped launch and elevate the careers of over 300 exceptional portrait photographers. Many past winners and finalists have gone on to collaborate with leading international magazines, museums, book publishers, and galleries worldwide. You could be next.
This international portrait photography competition is open to everyone — emerging photographers, established professionals, students, self-taught artists, and creatives of all ages and backgrounds.
Winning photographers will have their work exhibited at Photo London, the premier international photography fair, bringing together hundreds of galleries, publishers, collectors, and an ambitious program of exhibitions, talks, artist book signings, and curated events.
An exclusive opening reception will be held for LensCulture artists, invited media, photo editors, and industry professionals, offering a unique opportunity for visibility, networking, and recognition during the world’s largest international art fair dedicated to photography.
The total prize fund for the 2026 LensCulture Portrait Awards is $10,000, shared among six award winners. In addition, each juror will select a Juror’s Pick for special distinction, and 25 Finalists will be chosen for international exposure.
