Launched in 2025 and based in Berlin, this annual photography grant aims to support FLINTA artists (female, lesbian, inter, non-binary, trans, agender).
Each year, one artist is awarded €3,000 to develop a project. The focus is on providing time, support, and space to pursue new or ongoing work. We want to give visibility to artists who reflect on the world in thoughtful, critical, or imaginative ways.
No expectations of finished work. Just the possibility of time, space, and focus.
For the first edition of this grant, the theme is open.
We’re interested in different types of photography that explore how the world is shaped, whether through the lens of politics, sociology, anthropology, or the built environment. This might include cities, public spaces, institutions, private routines, or cultural patterns – though we’re equally open to unexpected perspectives, personal stories, or anything you’d like to show us.
Projects can be documentary, staged, experimental, or somewhere in between, and we’re happy to support new or ongoing work. We care less about form and more about clarity of thought and perspective.
Although encouraged, we don’t expect a finished project from the selected artist. We do, however, expect meaningful progress, including a project text and at least 10 photographs to be submitted within 6 months.
The first €2,000 will be awarded upfront, and the remaining €1,000 once all deliverables are submitted.
