In 2025, SPMOP will select its third Photo Laureate, who will have the honor to document and represent Tampa Bay for one year. Additionally, with the work the new Photo Laureate will create, they will get a solo exhibition at the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts during SPMOP 2026.

To apply, please send us your application using the form below. After the deadline, a jury will create a shortlist of 5 nominees. These nominees will be exhibited during the Saint Petersburg Month of Photography in May 2024 at the Morean Arts Center. At the opening of this exhibition, a final winner will be announced and named Photo Laureate 2024. What is the task of a Photo Laureate? A Photo Laureate must be willing to create a document of Tampa Bay life, events, and its people for a year.
