Nation Photo, an analog and digital photo lab that has been present in Paris since 2003, is organizing the 14th edition of its major silver photo competition.
Suspended in the wake of the pandemic, it was brought back to the fore in 2023 to celebrate the lab's 20th anniversary. In recent years, there has been a real revival of interest in argentic photography, and we're keen to perpetuate this trend with this all-inclusive competition.
The concept
We provide everything: camera, film, processing, scans, prints, and great prizes, free of charge! Participants shoot 12 poses on a set theme, in 48 hours. After analysis by a panel of judges, the 3 winners and favorites are chosen, and announced at a festive awards ceremony.
The team is more than motivated for this new edition: by organizing this event, we promote the practice and nurture the culture of argentic photography, bringing it to life through an event that brings together and appeals to both the curious and experts in the medium. What's more, it's free to attend, and the loan of equipment makes it accessible to a very large number of people.
To find out all you need to know about the event, please see the attached Press Kit, which includes the theme of the edition, the equipment used, the jury, the partners... Registrations can be made via our website nationphoto.com.
