The distinguished grant contest awarding astonishing photography. This year in its 10th edition, the Gomma Grant can look back on a decade of spotting and awarding photographers, who have gone on to grow their careers internationally as well as getting published and exhibited in various countries.

World Press Photo today announces the regional winners of the 2024 Contest, showcasing a selection of the world’s best photojournalism and documentary photography. The works invite viewers to step outside the news cycle, and look more deeply at both prominent and overlooked stories from across the world.

AAP Magazine proudly announces the results of its latest edition, AAP Magazine 38 Women, a dynamic celebration of women's contributions to the world of photography. With a blend of historical reflection and contemporary insight, this edition explores the multifaceted roles of women as both photographers and subjects, transcending traditional boundaries and reshaping narratives.

Meg chose to shoot in the poorer neighborhoods of Mexicali, Mexico, the capital city of the state of Baja California. With over a million residents, the possibilities were enormous. Residents hardships were visible. Meg lived a few miles north of the Mexicali border in the lower desert of California, USA. The summers there last roughly seven months, and daytime temperatures during several of those months are almost always over 115 degrees F. Nights get down to 90-plus degrees F. In addition, major earthquake faults run through the area, and roughly every ten years or so, a large earthquake hits causing some buildings to crack or even crumble.

Unpublished Photo (UP) is promoted by the Fondazione culture e musei and by MUSEC Lugano. Originally conceived by the Milanese gallery 29 ARTS IN PROGRESS, the project involves a competition that since 2018 has drawn young artists under 30 from around the world. In 2020 MUSEC decided to consolidate the initiative by providing it with an institutional framework and a perspective for medium-to-long-term development, aimed at indicating the main international trends in young art photography.

We’re delighted to reveal the names of the 25 talented photographers who won “AAP Magazine #37: Travels”. Out of thousands of entries, these remarkable photographers come from around the world, with 13 countries being represented from 5 continents. There’s a world out there to explore and each winning photographer shows us a glimpse of the diversity of our planet. From a horseman in Indonesia to another in Peru, from a tribe in Ecuador to an expedition in Alaska, we virtually travel to the four corners of the Earth.

The Nature Photography Contest, which held its first edition in 2023, has proved to be an excellent meeting point where photography and love for our planet go hand in hand. Now, two months after entries closed, the contest has presented the winning photographs and photographers of a contest that promises to continue growing and expanding its borders.
