We're delighted to reveal the names of the 25 talented photographers who won "AAP Magazine #34: Shapes" In the 34th edition of AAP Magazine, we sought submissions that delve into the realms of composition and form as integral elements of photographic aesthetics. Whether embracing pure visual formalism or in service of a thematic narrative, we were eager to discover artworks that embraced these fundamental aspects. The appreciation of shape and form stands as a cornerstone in the realm of photographic composition. It possesses the transformative power to elevate even the most ordinary subject into a masterpiece. Whether embracing geometric precision, organic fluidity, positive vitality, or negative space, the interplay of shapes enriches a photograph's overall aesthetics and evokes its unique vibes.

We're delighted to reveal the names of the 24 talented photographers who won "AAP Magazine #33: Nature". Predominantly women photographers, they come from 11 different countries and 3 continents.

These incredible photographers hail from 15 countries across 5 continents, and their photography reflects their distinct artistic style and individual approach to capturing the essence of black and white imagery. It was an incredible experience to explore their impressive collections and captivating photographs. Undeniably, black and white photography continues to hold a significant position in our hearts and imaginations.

We are thrilled to announce the winners of the Vital Impacts Environmental Photography Grants: Musuk Nolte of Mexico and Peru and Tailyr Irvine of the Salish and Kootenai tribes in western Montana (USA). Each will receive $20,000 to document solution-based environmental initiatives in their communities.

Portrait photography is strengthened by a wide variety of forms and methods, ranging from identifying to the most sensitive approach of capturing emotions (including its potential to heighten the model or educate the audience). It goes beyond set studio photographs or ordinary family portraits to become a genre in its own right, allowing photographers to express their full creative potential. A portrait can elicit a variety of responses, including those that describe, reveal, embellish, question, and unsettle. However, if a portrait has a thousand faces, we could only display a few of them, thus in this new issue of AAP Magazine, 25 photographers from 11 different countries and four continents share their perspectives.

Mysterious, magical, intense, timeless, sometimes nostalgic... mastering the shadows in photography is an art in itself. It is a story in its own right, a unique form of expression.

All About Photo is pleased to present ‘The Sufi Brotherhoods of Senegal’ by Christian Bobst Part of the exclusive online showroom developed by All About Photo, this exhibition is on view for the month of May 2023 and includes twenty photographs from the series ‘The Sufi Brotherhoods of Senegal’ Christy Karpinski , is the curator for this month's show.

Slovenian photographer Jošt Franko is this year's winner of The Aftermath Project, a prestigious US grant supporting post-conflict storytelling in photography. What won him the US$ 25,000 prize is his project documenting a community and landscape deeply marred and marginalised by the war in the former Yugoslavia.
