The “Prix de la Photographie, Paris” (PX3) strives to promote the appreciation of photography, to discover emerging talent, and introduce photographers from around the world to the artistic community of Paris. A selection of work from this competition is displayed in Paris and the winners are published in the PX3 Annual Book. Juried by leading editors, publishers, curators, gallery owners, consultants, creative directors, and art directors, PX3 brings the best of photography from across the globe to Paris.

Awards and Prizes

PX3 Photographer of the Year-$5,000 cash prize

Professional photographers compete for the top award-the title of "PX3 Photographer of the Year" and $5,000 cash prize. The Photographer of the Year is chosen from among the 1st prize winners in each of the 6 Pro Categories. The winner's work is publicized internationally, receives the spotlight at all events, is exhibited in Paris, and published in the PX3 Annual Book.

PX3 Best New Talent (Non-Professionals and Students)-$2,000 cash prize

Non-professional photographers compete for the PX3 Best New Talent Award and $2,000 cash prize. The winner is chosen from the 1st prize winners in the 6 Non-Pro/Student categories. The work is publicized and exhibited in Paris, and published in the PX3 Annual Book.

First Place Category Winners

First place winners' work will be exhibited at the Px3 Exhibition in Paris. All first place winners from both the professional and non-professional categories will receive a PX3 certificate, personalized press release, and a PX3 winner's logo for professional purposes.

Other Category Winners

All winners from both the professional and non-professional categories will receive a PX3 certificate, personalized press release, and a PX3 winner's logo for professional purposes.

Honorable Mentions

PX3 judges award several Certificates of Honorable Mention to both professional and non-professional entries to acknowledge talent as they see fit.

Paris Exhibition & International Publicity

Winner's Exhibition

The work of following winners will be exhibited in Paris: Advertising Photographer of the Year, Press Photographer of the Year, Book Photographer of the Year, Fine Art Photographer of the Year, Nature Photographer of the Year and Portraiture Photographer of the Year together with New Talent of the year in Advertising, New Talent of the year in Press, New Talent of the year in Book, New Talent of the year in Fine Art, New Talent of the year in Nature and New Talent of the year in Portraiture categories.

Please note: only the above 12 works will be exhibited in Paris. The work of winners of the gold, silver, bronze will be projected. All winners work and honorable mentions name will be showcased in the PX3 annual book.

PX3 Annual Book

The work of winners of the gold, silver, bronze from both the professional and non-professional Subcategories will be published in the PX3 Annual Book. The names of the Honorable Mention recipients will be included in the book as well.

Prix Picto de la Mode: Revelation of the 2020 Winners
The award ceremony took place Tuesday 13 October 2020 at the Palais Galliera, Paris Fashion Museum, after the deliberations of a jury chaired by photographer Sarah Moon. The 2020 edition is marked by exciting new features. In addition to the exhibition produced by Picto and the poster campaign offered by JCDecaux, the "Winner of the Picto Prize for Fashion Photography" was presented with a Leica Q2 camera. Winners of the Depositphotos Photography Contest 2020
This summer international photobank Depositphotos launched their first photography contest to support independent photographers in their artistic and professional pursuits. The theme of the contest was “Authenticity 2.0” to encourage participants to share their vision of authenticity, capturing candid moments in everyday life.
