A reference distinction for emerging talents in the fashion photography field, the Prix Picto de la Mode is delighted to welcome photographer Bettina Rheims as president of the jury for this edition.This year 2020 will also be marked by stimulating innovations. Thus, in addition to the production of exhibition printsand the displayofthe winner's images in advertising spaces in Paris, the 1st Prize will receive a Leica camera worth € 4,990. This year we also launch the Prix Filippo Roversi as part of the Prix Picto de la Mode, with the support of photographer Paolo Roversi. It will highlight the originality of a photographer (photographic process, black and white / color / light treatments, etc.). Finally, the 3rd Prize will seek to identify an emerging photographer whose proposal deserves to be particularly encouraged.The award ceremony for the Prix Picto de la Mode 2020 will take place on September at the Palais Galliera, musée de la Mode de la Ville de Paris, freshly renovated after a year of construction. Initiated in November 2012 by Aperture Foundation and Paris Photo, the Paris Photo–Aperture Foundation PhotoBook Awards celebrate the photobook's contribution to the evolving narrative of photography, with three major categories: First PhotoBook, PhotoBook of the Year, and Photography Catalogue of the Year. In this unprecedented year, it is all the more critical to be able to highlight excellence in book making and the creative output of the global photobook community. We look forward to sharing the shortlisted books in exhibition and in an expanded online presentation — and to announcing the winners in November.

What winners receive

The First PhotoBook Prize
A $10,000 prize will be awarded to the photographer(s)/artist(s) whose first finished, publicly available photobook is judged to be the best of the year. Twenty books from this category will be selected for the shortlist, presented to the Jury for the final selection and exhibited during Paris Photo.

The PhotoBook of the Year Prize
This prize will be awarded to the photographer(s)/artist(s), and publisher responsible, for the photobook judged to be the best of the year. Ten books from this category will be selected for the shortlist, presented to the Jury for the final selection and exhibited during Paris Photo.

The Photography Catalogue of the Year Prize Awarded to the publication, publisher, and/or organizing institution responsible for the exhibition catalogue or museum publication judged to be the best of the year. Five books from this category will be selected for the shortlist, presented to the Jury for the final selection and exhibited during Paris Photo.

The shortlisted books, accompanied by the jury's comments, will be featured in the fall 2020 edition of The PhotoBook Review issue 018 (published by Aperture Foundation), to be released at Paris Photo and mailed to Aperture magazine subscribers. Additional content and features for the shortlisted books will appear on aperture.org.

Circulation(s), the festival dedicated to emerging photography in Europe, is calling all European photographers or photographers living in Europe to submit work for exhibitions at next year's festival which is set to take place between 6 March and 2 May. Each year, at the Centquatre-Paris and satellite sites in France and abroad, Circulation(s) reveals the vitality of young creation and speaks for the diversity of photographic expressions through unique events. A stepping-stone for artists, and a prospective and innovative laboratory of contemporary creativity, the festival has become, over the past 10 years, a must-attend event on the photography calendar and a trendsetter.

Applicants should submit a maximum of 15 images, a short biography, and a short descriptive text about the series. Around 20 photographers will be selected by an independent jury which will convene at the end of September to make their choices.

The call for applications is open to all European photographers or photographers living in Europe, without any age limit.

The Center for Photographic Art (CPA) is excited to announce the 2020 International Juried Exhibition with $5,000 in awards! Forty-five juror-selected photographs will be exhibited from November 14 through December 20 in our historic gallery in Carmel, California, and vie for eight cash awards totaling $5,000.

These photographs will also be featured in an online gallery on the CPA website along with an additional forty-five juror selected images. An exhibition catalog of the entire gallery and online exhibition will be available for purchase. An entry discount is available for new and current CPA members.

The juror will grant the following awards:
First Place: $2500
Second Place: $1000
Third Place: $500
Four awards of merit: $250 each

With a first prize of £15,000, the Prize has established a reputation for creativity and excellence, with works submitted by a range of photographers, from leading professionals to talented amateurs and the most exciting emerging artists.

This year the exhibition will be displayed online, from Tuesday 24 November 2020, in a virtual gallery that replicates the rooms of the NPG. This virtual exhibition will allow us to reach a wide international audience and ensure that the competition is able to continue as planned during the current Coronavirus pandemic. Photographer Edward Burtynsky and CONTACT are requesting submissions for the 2020 Burtynsky Grant a $5,000 annual grant to support a Canadian artist in the creation of a photobook.
Established in 2016, this grant is intended for photo-based artists who are in the advanced stages of developing a cohesive, rigorous body of work presented in book form. The jury is looking for submissions from those that have created a book dummy and who have had little to no prior opportunity to self-publish or work with a publisher. You must be a Canadian citizen or resident to be eligible.
Please submit the following as a PDF by a file hosting service (eg. WeTransfer or Dropbox) to photobook@scotiabankcontactphoto.com. Hardcopy submissions are also welcome in person or by mail at the applicant’s expense; please deliver to our office at the address below. You must be a Canadian citizen or resident to be eligible.

Now in its seventh year, the International Landscape Photographer of the Year Awards is allowing all landscape photographers to share a total of 10,000 USD in cash prizes.

Digital image files should measure between 4000 and 5000 pixels on the longest side, 300 dpi, be saved as a JPEG (recommended setting 9 or 10), in AdobeRGB colour space.

There are no limits on post-production, but entries presented for judging must be photographic in origin (taken with a camera). Your entry must have been photographed on or after January 1, 2019.

There's no limit to the number of images you can enter.

Prize

First Prize:
Cash prize of 5,000 USD, trophy, inclusion and feature in the International Landscape Photographer of the Year Awards Book, and a printed copy of the International Landscape Photographer of the Year Awards Book.

Second Prize:
