Art-Competition.net is proud to announce the Art Call "Scapes 3". There will be 7 Winners and 10 Honorable Mentions. This competition is open to all artists and photographers worldwide. The participant must be 18 years of age or older working in any still art medium: painting, drawing, collage, photography, digital art, fiber art, etc. The judges for this art call welcome artists and photographers whose works provide viewers with unique interpretations of environmental settings- either viewed or imagined. These artists' visions may transport the viewer to a lovely landscape, cityscape, seascape, or mindscape which invites them to enter their realm of beauty, uniqueness, serenity, etc. However, works reflecting human impact against the land, seas, etc., always major concerns, are encouraged as well. The earth's landscapes are places of thought, meditation, reflection, tranquility, and at times sorrow. The landscape artists' creations are defined and weighted only by the depth at which their presentations enrich our heart and conscience. All representational, abstract, or surrealistic entries are welcome.

Monochrome
Hosted by: Las Laguna Gallery
Territory: Worldwide
Entry Fee: $25.00
Prize: Exhibition
Las Laguna Gallery is seeking art that explores values of one color. The term monochrome describes paintings, drawings, design, or photographs in one color or values of one color. For this call for art Las Laguna Gallery challenges artists to explore not only the range of tones of black and white, but also explore the range of a single color. For an image, the term monochrome is usually taken to mean the same as black and white or, more likely, grayscale, but may also be used to refer to other combinations containing only tones of a single color, such as green-and-white or green-and-black. It may also refer to sepia displaying tones from light tan to dark brown or cyanotype (“blueprint”) images, and early photographic methods such as daguerreotypes, ambrotypes, and tintypes, each of which may be used to produce a monochromatic image. All local, national and international artists, professional and amateur and multiple art mediums will be considered in this call for art.

We are a charity-oriented local photography prize covering England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. You don’t have to be a resident to compete, simply to have captured an image here. We have 10 categories that range from wildlife and landscapes to street and portrait photography. We have UK-based industry judges and a wide variety of charities on board already!
We are a small team of volunteers who all work full time in another discipline. We simply want to do more to help the world.
Our prizes scale over the course of the year, but there are already (at the time of writing) Ł10,000 of prizes to be won, plus non-cash awards. Half our money goes to charity, and the other half to maintaining the competition (prizes, hosting, storage etc). Nobody is taking a salary from the venture, and it is designed to be completely self-sustaining!
