Lagos Photo Festival
October 27 - November 15, 2019 in Lagos Nigeria
Launched in 2010, LagosPhoto is the first and only international arts festival of photography in Nigeria. In a month long festival, events include exhibitions, workshops, artist presentations, discussions and large scale outdoor prints displayed throughout the city with the aim of reclaiming public spaces and engaging the general public with multifaceted stories of Africa. LagosPhoto aims to establish a community for contemporary photography which will unite local and international artists through images that encapsulate individual experiences and identities from across all of Africa. LagosPhoto presents and educates about photography as it is embodied in the exploration of historical and contemporary issues, the sharing of cultural practices, and the promotion of social programmes.

Imago Lisboa

Lisbon has become a reference city in the fields of tourism, and economic and cultural growth. The events take place in the most diverse areas and the city is the stage for an effervescent activity in the most diverse domains. In the visual arts the remarkable quality of the exhibitions presented in museums, galleries and alternative spaces is notorious. However, in the so-called creative photography area, there is a gap to be filled. This is the main objective of the Imago Lisboa festival. Provide the city with a regular photographic event that enhances the different photographic practices, and become an international reference in a short term. The team composing the festival has a vast history in the area, with an experience of almost thirty years.
Festival della Fotografia Etica
October 5-27, 2019 in Lodi, Italy
The Festival is taking place October 5th through the 27th. There are four weekends full of events, guided tours with the photographers, conferences, portfolio reviews and book presentations. Like every year, we are giving voice to the voiceless through the stunning photographs of award-winning photojournalists who work hard to bring social issues, environmental problems and forgotten conflicts to light. The exhibits are housed in locations of historical importance, all situated within walking distance of downtown Lodi.
Zoom Photo Festival
October 16 - November 10, 2019 in Saguenay Canada
Zoom Photo Festival Saguenay, international meeting of photojournalism was born in 2010. This first Canadian festival dedicated to photojournalism was established by the International Group Photo and La Pulperie de Chicoutimi, Musée du Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, from a concept by photographer Michel Tremblay. International Photo Media Group (IPGM) is a non-profit organization (NPO) whose mandate is to promote photography. To do this, IPGM offers various products to reach professionals, amateurs, and enthusiasts of photography. Since the beginning of the Festival,La Pulperie de Chicoutimi played a key role, especially thanks to the expertise of its staff. It is this expertise that has enabled the Zoom Photo Festival Saguenay to present exhibitions with standards specific to museums.
