70 Prints for 70 Years, from 17 November 2025 until 26 November, is a limited-time sale that invites the public to own a piece of visual history through a curated selection of 70 images from the
World Press Photo archive.
Featuring 70 photographers from around the globe, the sale includes powerful and iconic work such as Charlie Cole’s photograph of the ‘Tank Man’ in Beijing and an image from Diana Markosian’s series ‘The Cubanitas’, alongside photographs by Vincent Mentzel, Forough Alaei, Émilie Regnier, and many more.
As part of the organization’s 70 year celebrations, World Press Photo is organizing a print sale, where the collection tells the story of World Press Photo at 70 – from historic and widely recognized works, to more recent and diverse perspectives. It also includes work from Joop Swart Masterclass (JSM) participants, highlighting World Press Photo’s ongoing focus on education and the next generation of visual storytellers. This is the first time in the history of the organization that a print sale has been organized with solely World Press Photo awarded works and images from JSM.

By purchasing a print, buyers are directly supporting photographers at a time when independent visual journalism faces growing challenges. Each sale not only brings powerful storytelling into a home or makes a meaningful gift, but also contributes to safeguarding and protecting photojournalism worldwide. Every contribution helps sustain the work of World Press Photo and the photographers they collaborate with, amplifying diverse voices and ensuring important stories continue to reach global audiences
''Over the past 70 years, World Press Photo has collaborated with ambitious, brave and creative photographers who have shaped our collective memory of world events, and offered us new ways of seeing. This sale is a chance to honor that history, while also looking towards the future. Each print represents not only a moment in time, but also the courage and creativity of the photographer behind it. By purchasing one of these prints, you are joining us in recognizing the enduring value of visual storytelling and helping us to ensure that the next generation of photographers can continue to tell vital stories.'' – Joumana El Zein Khoury, Executive Director, World Press Photo

Founded in the Netherlands in 1955, our annual contest and thematic exhibitions reach millions of people in over 80 locations worldwide each year, and our online work reaches millions more.
We showcase compelling stories to create space for reflection in times of urgency. Amid a fast-changing media landscape influenced by censorship, misinformation, and threats to press freedom, we promote standards of accuracy, authenticity, visual excellence, while ensuring diverse perspectives are represented. Our education programs support photographers in reaching these standards, and help the public explore the profound societal impact of photography.
We are thankful for the support of our funders, particularly our strategic partners the Dutch Postcode Lottery, PwC, and FUJIFILM Corporation.
