Matthew Finley uses his photography to express himself and connect to the world around him. With a variety of photography processes, he explores intimate emotions through gesture, line and performance to communicate his experience. Growing up queer in an unaccepting environment, Finley felt apart from the world around him. Now, as an adult working through social anxiety, the studio is a safe space to create where he can be vulnerable and express his true self. Creating and exhibiting his work is a way to forge relationships with viewers and help those who see themselves reflected in it to feel less alone. Finding inspiration in nature, classic art and found photographs, he address-es modern issues such as his coming out story, intimate relationships, and finding peace in our tumultuous world. Based in Los Angeles, Finley’s work has shown in solo and group shows in multiple galleries across the U.S. Most recently, his work was on the walls of the esteemed Fahey/Klein Gallery in Los Angeles with the likes of Herb Ritts and Herbert List. Other works have circled the globe as part of the FOTOFILMIC 17 traveling show and he has pieces in the permanent col-lections of the Museum of Contemporary Photography, Columbia College Chicago, The Museum of Art and History, Lancaster, and the Center for Fine Art Photography. His images have also appeared in publications including Oxford American, Shots Magazine, and Plates to Pixels where he won the Juror Award in The Visual Armistice 10th Annual Juried Showcase. Finley’s most current project An Impossibly Normal Life recently received Center Santa Fe’s 2024 Personal Award as well as the Center for Photographic Art’s 2024 LGBTQ+ Artist Grant.

Valentina Sinis is a documentary photographer based in London. Her projects gravitate toward the quirky and unusual, portraying offbeat realities and people on the margins with a profound sense of empathy and connection. Her work offers a meticulous yet delicate insight into idiosyncrasies, hidden meanings, and the subtle gestures that are often overlooked or sensationalized, but rarely explored in depth.

Marijn Fidder is a Dutch documentary photographer who focuses on current affairs and contemporary social issues. She uses photography to speak on behalf of the voiceless, and to advocate for the rights of all who are vulnerable. Her work has appeared in National Geographic, CNN Style, NRC Handelsblad, Volkskrant, GUP New Talent and ZEIT Magazin, among others. Her work has received multiple awards, including from World Press Photo and Global Peace Photo Award. Based in the Netherlands, Fidder has worked for many years in Uganda, researching disability rights in the country.

I was born in Angola, but the upheavals that preceded and followed the country's independence process forced my family to emigrate to Portugal, where I lived until about 15 years ago. My passion for photography was born in his teenage years, with a focus on landscapes and portraits. When I returned to Angola to work on social development projects, I had to live with people and scenes in very precarious conditions on a daily basis, which radically changed the way I was and how he saw the world. Gradually, I developed a strong desire to visually tell the stories of these people's survival, to give them a voice they had lost in society, and to try to arouse emotions and an awareness that something must be done to change the world for the better. Documentary photography came naturally to me as a tool to study the human condition, especially the enormous resilience of people in the face of the fragility of their lives and the greatest adversities they can face. My photography always aims to denounce the injustices that asymmetries and inequalities cause in societies. Currently, my work focuses more on projects, as they allow him to build more structured and solid narratives that can have a more transformative power in society.

Patrick Enssle is a German journalist and photographer specializing in conflict reporting and crisis zones. His passion for visual storytelling was ignited in 1995 after discovering Life Magazine’s 1965 cover story “One Ride With Yankee Papa 13,” featuring Larry Burrows’ haunting photographs from the Vietnam War — an experience that shaped his career path early on. From 2017 to 2024, Patrick served in the German Army’s Press Department, where he received specialized training in photography. In 2019, he began working as a freelance photographer alongside his military role, focusing on major conflict zones, particularly the war in Ukraine. Mark Seymour is a highly acclaimed documentary wedding photographer based in Berkshire, UK, with a career spanning over 30 years. was introduced to photography while studying Advertising Design at the Los Angeles Art Center. My life as a photographer has was supplemented by book design and photo editing, including two years as a layout editor for the National Geographic Magazine in Washington D.C. My work has appeared in national and international publications including: Entrepreneur, GEO, National Geographic, National Geographic Traveler, National Geographic World, National Geographic Books, Newsweek, Smithsonian Air & Space, Sunset, Time, and U.S. News and World Report. I am now semi-retired and devoting my time to personal work with emphasis on black and white documentary projects.

Maurizio Di Pietro is an Italian freelance documentary photographer, primarily focused on social and environmental issues. He graduated in 2001 with a degree in Computer Science and often incorporates his passion for science and technology into his work, along with a sense of intimacy and delicacy. After working for many years as a stage photographer, he became involved with several non-governmental organizations in Morocco, Sri Lanka, Guatemala, and the West Bank, where he discovered and developed a passion for documentary photography and soon began a career as a freelance photographer. Today he also works as a reportage photography teacher at the Factory10 photography school. His images have been published in national and international magazines such as National Geographic, Geo France, Der Spiegel, BBC, L’Espresso, and many others. His work has been awarded in prestigious international competitions, including the Sony World Photography Awards, Pictures of the Year, and Lucie. In 2023, he was honored as Environmental Photographer of the Year.

Dmitry Ersler is an award-winning fine art and advertising photographer with over two decades of experience. Born in Moscow, USSR and now based in Thailand, he began his artistic training under the guidance of his father. From 1976 to 1984, he studied at a Moscow public school, followed by public high school from 1984 to 1986. Between 1998 and 2004, he studied law at the Moscow Law University. Simultaneously, from 1999 to 2002, he pursued professional photography studies at the Moscow School of Art and Photography.
