Behind the Shot: The Veil
The veil is so iconic of rajasthani culture, symbolises respect, modesty & marital identity for the women. It is more than just a piece of cloth — it reflects centuries of history, honor codes, climate adaptation, and shifting gender roles. While its practice has declined in many modern settings, it continues to hold cultural and symbolic significance in parts of the state. Women walk comfortably in their veil, doing all types of routine outdoor tasks, often carrying their small children too.

A makeshift temporary set up is arranged at the huge Camel ground where they stay in tents and women of the family will even cook food under open sky for their family.
