This picture is part of my series "Unattainable Beauty", which explores the artificial creation of beauty. The series deals with the absurd standards in the beauty and fashion industry that put pressure on individuals to conform to a certain body type or fashion standards.
All the "models" are hand-assembled with various cut flowers and potted plants and were photographed in the studio.

Ellen Stern was a fashion photographer in New York and Milan. She was adjunct faculty at Maryland Institute College of Art teaching their Paris, France photography program. Since 2008 she has been Associate Professor of Photography at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida. These images are part of a series of images shot in the Paris Metro of torn and ripped ads.

This series reimagines the feeling of awe I experience when diving: and the vast mysterious sea is my stage.
These images utilize unique perspectives that highlight bioluminescence and surreal colors inspired by coral reefs and nudibranchs, and they envision how underwater species sense the world via ultraviolet and infrared sight.
As our oceans are in a vulnerable state, it is my hope that my focus on beauty and wonder will spark reflection about humanity’s role in our interconnected ecosyste

Blue. Deep and distant. Sky and sea. Longing and courage. Dream and infinity. Is it possible to entrust one‘s whole being to this indefinable vastness?
I am exploring this question in my large-format cyanotype series FLOW AND THEN, for which I position my body on individually prepared paper to the sun for up to one hour.
The resulting images of "weightlessness" are only made possible by relinquishing control: during the process, I surrender myself to sun, water and, not least, to chance.

Remote Survey № 4
Solar Evaporation and Mineral Extraction Fields in Utah produce salt, sulfate of potash and magnesium chloride using the pond-based feedstock from a naturally occurring brine source. Mineral-rich brine from most remote areas is pumped into a series of shallow ponds where the sun naturally evaporates the water over a 3 year span, leaving beds of naturally occurring crystallized minerals ready to be gathered and distributed globally.
