The Autry Museum of the American West is a vibrant cultural institution located in Los Angeles’ Griffith Park, where the history and future of the American West come together through art, artifacts, and storytelling. With a mission to share the diverse and interconnected narratives of the West, the Autry invites visitors to explore the region’s rich heritage in ways that connect deeply to contemporary life.

Housing an extraordinary collection of more than 600,000 items, the museum offers a window into the complex cultural fabric of the West. From iconic paintings and sculptures to rare film memorabilia, vintage photographs, and an extensive selection of historic firearms, each object contributes to a broader story. Of particular note is the museum’s expansive collection of Native American cultural materials, one of the most significant of its kind in the country, offering insight into Indigenous histories, traditions, and creative expression.

Beyond its galleries, the Autry is a community-centered space that hosts a wide range of events and public programs.
