Quint Gallery, founded by Mark Quint in 1981, has long been a cornerstone of San Diego’s contemporary art scene. With nearly twenty different spaces activated since its founding, Quint Gallery has embraced change and experimentation as a defining strength, ensuring that its impact extends far beyond a single location.

Quint Gallery has recognized the power of the medium to both document and disrupt, presenting photographers who challenge conventions while capturing the shifting dynamics of culture, identity, and place. In 2020, with the launch of “ONE,” Quint introduced a bold curatorial approach, offering audiences the chance to focus on a single artwork at a time. This format has proven particularly compelling for photography, where the act of looking closely is essential. By stripping away distractions, “ONE” allows each image to unfold in its own time, encouraging reflection and deeper engagement.

Today, with two spaces in La Jolla and the experimental ONE at Bread & Salt in Logan Heights, Quint Gallery continues to shape contemporary discourse.
