Leslie Sacks Gallery, located in Santa Monica, California, carries forward a legacy that spans continents and decades. Founded by the late Leslie J. Sacks, the gallery has become a respected destination for collectors and art enthusiasts interested in Modern, Post-War, and Contemporary works, particularly rare editions and works on paper by both American and European masters.
Leslie Sacks began his journey in the art world in 1981 with the opening of Les Art International in Johannesburg, South Africa. After moving to the United States, he established Leslie Sacks Fine Art in Los Angeles in 1992, introducing American audiences to an exceptional collection of fine art prints and drawings by iconic artists. The gallery further expanded its presence in 2007 by acquiring the Bobbie Greenfield Gallery in Santa Monica, which was reestablished as Leslie Sacks Contemporary. This venue became a hub for contemporary editions and significant works on paper and was recognized for its representation of the Estate of Robert Motherwell through the Dedalus Foundation.
While Leslie Sacks passed away in 2013, his vision continues to guide the gallery’s direction. Today, Leslie Sacks Gallery remains deeply committed to its founding values, offering a carefully curated program that highlights mid-career and established artists, while maintaining one of the most respected inventories of Post-War and Contemporary art in the region.
As a member of the International Fine Print Dealers Association (IFPDA) and the Art Dealers Association of California (ADAC), the gallery upholds the highest standards of connoisseurship and scholarship. Leslie Sacks Gallery continues to serve as a vital link between the past and present, offering a space where historic and contemporary voices are in constant dialogue.
