Indian Photo Festival 2025

Indian Photo Festival 2025
Nov 20, 2025 – Jan 4, 2026

Hyderabad, India

The Indian Photo Festival returns with its 11th edition, reaffirming its role as one of India’s most vital platforms for photography and visual storytelling. As the country’s longest-running international photography festival, it brings together artists, audiences, and communities in a celebration of images that illuminate the world’s complexities and inspire meaningful reflection. Held from November 20 to January 4 at the State Gallery of Art in Madhapur and across multiple venues in Hyderabad, the festival welcomes visitors of all ages and backgrounds, offering free access to an expansive program.

At its heart, the festival champions stories that are too often overlooked—narratives shaped by resilience, injustice, hope, and transformation. Through exhibitions by photographers from India and across the globe, the festival invites viewers to confront social realities and to see beyond borders. Each series, whether intimate or expansive, contributes to a broader dialogue about the human condition and the visual languages that shape how we understand it.

The festival’s commitment to education and mentorship has also made it a cornerstone for emerging photographers. With workshops, portfolio reviews, and guided discussions, IPF supports artists at pivotal moments in their creative development. These efforts have been further strengthened by grants exceeding INR 20 million, offered through partnerships that nurture innovation and provide the financial means for new projects to flourish.

Talks, panels, and interactive programs complement the exhibitions, encouraging conversations between creators and audiences. These exchanges deepen the festival’s impact, transforming it from a showcase into a space for collective questioning and learning. By engaging directly with photographers, visitors gain insight into both the craft and conscience behind each image.

More than a cultural event, The Indian Photo Festival is a testament to photography’s enduring power: to reveal truths, to cultivate empathy, and to imagine possibilities. In an era shaped by rapid change, the festival stands as a reminder that images still carry the ability to connect us, challenge us, and broaden our understanding of the world we share.
