RomePhotoLab - International Street Photo Festival

RomePhotoLab - International Street Photo Festival
Sep 26, 2025 – Sep 28, 2025

Villa Altieri
Rome, Italy

The RomePhotoLab – International Street Photo Festival returns to the heart of Rome from September 26th to 28th, 2025. Set against the elegant backdrop of Villa Altieri (Viale Manzoni 47), the festival stands as one of the leading global events dedicated to street photography, offering a platform for visual storytelling, cultural dialogue, and artistic exploration.

With an international jury composed of renowned photographers, photo editors, and curators, this year’s edition presents a curated selection of some of the most authentic, innovative, and powerful works from the global contemporary photography scene. Official exhibitions will showcase both series and single-image finalists from the latest competition, including a special Rome-focused category. The result is a compelling visual anthology that reflects the diversity, urgency, and creative force of today’s street photography.

The event is made possible with the support of international partners and the ongoing collaboration with Roma Città Metropolitana, represented by Mariano Angelucci, President of the XII Permanent Commission on Tourism, Fashion, and International Relations, and Councilor Tiziana Biolghini. Their contribution has secured, for the second consecutive year, the prestigious setting of Villa Altieri’s Museum Complex, highlighting Rome’s role as a cultural hub for international photography.

Born from the desire to promote street photography as a powerful and universal visual language, RomePhotoLab opens a window onto the present through the lens of those who see meaning where others see the mundane.

Beyond the jury’s selection, the festival will also feature exhibitions from renowned international collectives, including Street Badass, Street Avengers, Pure Street Photography, iFocus Greece, and the three Great Winners of PISPA – Paris International Street Photo Awards, an official festival partner.

At the Villa’s entrance, visitors will be welcomed by "Shades of a Woman", a powerful all-female group exhibition featuring 40 women photographers from around the globe.

The three-day program includes talks, panel discussions, and masterclasses with internationally acclaimed photographers such as Dawn Eagleton, Mania De Praeter, Victor Shoet, Bert Debusschere, Barbara Di Maio, Todd Visser, Dora Lavazou, and Ximena Hinzpeter. A special photowalk on Saturday afternoon invites participants to explore and capture the Eternal City through fresh and inspired perspectives. The festival will also host portfolio reviews and educational workshops, making it an unmissable opportunity for both emerging and established photographers.
