Art Basel Paris 2026

Art Basel Paris 2026
Oct 23, 2026 – Oct 25, 2026

Grand Palais
Avenue Winston Churchill
Paris 75008, France

Art Basel Paris returns to the Grand Palais from October 23 to October 25, 2026, bringing together the international art world in the heart of the French capital. For its fifth edition, the fair continues to position Paris as a major center for artistic exchange, presenting a wide-ranging program of modern, post-war, and contemporary art while drawing on the city’s rich cultural and institutional landscape.

Art Basel Paris 2026 will bring together 211 galleries from 41 countries and territories, including more than 30 galleries participating for the first time. More than 60 exhibitors operate spaces in France, highlighting the strength of the country’s gallery ecosystem. The fair will present a diverse selection of painting, sculpture, photography, installation, video, and other contemporary practices, bringing together established artists, emerging voices, and historically significant works.

Key sectors for this year’s edition include:

Galeries: The main sector brings together 183 leading galleries presenting the breadth of their programs, from 20th-century masters and post-war figures to contemporary and emerging artists.
Emergence: Dedicated to emerging galleries and artists, this sector features 16 solo presentations highlighting new and developing artistic practices.
Premise: Featuring 12 highly curated projects that revisit and expand established narratives of art history, including selected works dating from before 1900. In 2026, Premise moves to the larger Salon Seine.

Beyond the fair itself, Art Basel Paris will extend throughout the city with an expanded Public Program, bringing major commissions and presentations to locations including the Petit Palais, Palais d’Iéna, Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine, Parvis des Droits-de-l’Homme, Beaux-Arts de Paris, Avenue Winston-Churchill, Square Jean Perrin, Place Clemenceau, and the Jardin de la Nouvelle-France.

Another highlight of the 2026 edition is the return of Oh La La!, Art Basel Paris’ signature rehang program. Taking place on October 23 and 24, the initiative invites participating galleries to transform their booths with new presentations. This year’s edition is art-directed by French actress Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu around the theme Myths and Legends.

The Conversations program will move into the Auditorium of the Grand Palais for the first time, bringing together artists, museum directors, curators, collectors, and other cultural figures for discussions and one-on-one encounters. The program will explore a broad range of subjects connected to art, culture, institutions, and contemporary artistic practices.

Art Basel Paris 2026 also marks the first edition under the direction of Karim Crippa. With its strong international participation and deep connections to Paris’ museums, galleries, cultural institutions, and creative communities, the fair continues to place the city at the center of a global conversation around modern and contemporary art.

Art Basel Paris 2026 will take place from October 23 to October 25, 2026, at the Grand Palais, with Preview Days on October 21 and 22 and a public Vernissage on October 22. Tickets are available through Art Basel’s official website.
