Chicago Art Fair, a new contemporary and modern art fair in the heart of Chicago, will make its inaugural debut from October 7–10, 2026, at THE MART (formerly Merchandise Mart). Bringing together leading international, national, and regional galleries, the fair will offer collectors, designers, architects, art advisors, and enthusiasts an opportunity to discover and acquire exceptional works by established and emerging artists.

Created to celebrate Chicago’s vibrant cultural landscape and its longstanding influence on the visual arts, Chicago Art Fair aims to establish a new annual destination for contemporary and modern art. The inaugural edition will present an intimate, gallery-focused experience, with carefully selected exhibitors showcasing museum-quality painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, and other fine art disciplines.

The first edition will feature galleries including Echo Fine Arts, Hilton Contemporary, McCormick Gallery, Melissa Morgan Fine Art, Vallarino Fine Art, and Verse Gallery, with additional exhibitors to be announced. Their presentations will span a diverse range of artistic approaches, media, styles, and price points, creating opportunities for both experienced collectors and those beginning to explore the art market.

Located at THE MART in central Chicago, the fair is designed to connect galleries and artists with the city’s established collector community while welcoming new audiences interested in discovering and purchasing contemporary and modern art.
