With a title inspired by a quote from Robert Capa, co-founder of Magnum Agency, 'If your pictures aren’t good enough, you’re not close enough,' Close Enough presents over a hundred works of art created by women. This includes Sabiha Çimen’s explorations of the experiences of young Islamic women in Turkey, Alessandra Sanguinetti’s long-term collaboration with her Argentine cousins Guille and Belinda, Bieke Deporter’s dialogue with Egyptian women from different social, cultural, and religious backgrounds, and Susan Meiselas’ work with women who sought refuge from domestic violence in the UK. The exhibition also features works by Olivia Arthur, Myriam Boulos, Cristina de Middel, Carolyn Drake, Nanna Heitmann, Hannah Price, Lua Ribeira, Cristina Garcia Rodero, and Newsha Tavakolian. The exhibition was curated by the photographers in collaboration with Charlotte Cotton and coincides with the seventy-fifth anniversary of the founding of Magnum Photos.
