Driven by a deep fascination with Tibetan culture, I embarked on a solo adventure to Xiahe County in the Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. Navigating the remote, difficult terrain alone was more than just a journey across rugged landscapes—it was a personal quest to find answers within myself.
Arriving during a traditional Tibetan horse racing festival, I was quickly drawn beyond the excitement of the arena and into the beating heart of local life. What touched me most deeply was the local community, especially the children. Roaming freely across the high-altitude grasslands with boundless energy and radiant, carefree smiles, their untamed innocence moved me profoundly.
Through these photographs, I sought to capture the pure humanity and spirit of the Tibetan plateau: the raw joy of youth, the enduring warmth of the culture, and the answers I quietly discovered through their uninhibited laughter.
