Having shot everyone from The Queen of Pop to The
Queen of England, Rankin’s photography is known
world-over. Whether it’s tackling the taboo of death
(‘Alive: In The Face Of Death’), celebrating London’s
West End (‘Performance by Rankin’) or championing the
heroes of the NHS (‘NHS, 2020’), Rankin’s projects have
highlighted real people and experiences - and have
captured the public’s imagination, and dominated social
feeds.
Arguably his biggest project of all has been RankinLIVE.
Launched in 2009, RankinLIVE is the most ambitious
project Rankin has ever undertaken. These photo-
sessions see Rankin pick up his camera and turn it to
the general public. Allowing people a chance behind
the scenes of a professional photoshoot, they can step
in front of Rankin’s lens in an exceptional immersive
experience. An unparalleled opportunity to have your
portrait taken in the style of one of Rankin’s signature
editorials..
Exclusively on Carnaby Street for Christmas 2023,
Rankin is now bringing the RankinLIVE Experience to the
British high-street..

“A RankinLIVE experience is unlike anything else I do. Across a day I get to meet and photograph 20+ members of the public, and in the 15 minutes they’re with me I really feel like I get to know them. We talk, I shoot, and in the end everyone leaves the session beaming..
Beyond this though, we showcase the images I shoot live on screen to anyone who wants to watch. Doing this allows everyone to feel included and it becomes about so much more than me taking a photograph - it becomes a shared experience, one that celebrates creativity and community.” - RANKIN.
