Rather than documenting religion itself, the series reflects on the traces left behind after conviction has disappeared: abandoned places, symbolic objects, and silent landscapes suspended between history and imagination. Through black-and-white photography, these spaces become metaphors for absence, resilience, and transformation. The images do not seek to provide answers, but invite viewers to reflect on how faith, memory, and identity continue to survive long after their visible forms have vanished.
Before the Garden is a visual journey through spaces that exist between departure and arrival. Beginning at an empty railway station and ending before an unseen destination, the series moves through abandoned rooms, forgotten windows, and silent interiors that become metaphors for memory and inner transformation. The garden itself never appears.
