Waterhouse & Dodd
New York - 15 East 76th Street - NY 10021
Ray Waterhouse and Jonathan Dodd started working together as art dealers in 1982 and they formed Waterhouse & Dodd five years later. After 30 years of international dealing Waterhouse & Dodd has galleries in both London and New York, and an office in Paris.

In London we opened our impressive new ground floor gallery on 47 Albemarle Street in Mayfair in 2013. This space is dedicated to exhibiting and dealing in Post-Impressionist, Modern and Contemporary art with a team managed by Jonathan Dodd, and with Jamie Anderson running Modern British art. We also have works on view at our second gallery space in London at 16 Savile Row, but this 2nd floor space is dedicated more to client advisory services, Fine Art Brokers.

Waterhouse & Dodd opened a gallery in New York in 2010, and is now based on the Upper East Side at 15, East 76th Street where we have a gallery exhibiting Modern, Post-War and Contemporary Art. Ray Waterhouse has relocated to New York and manages this private dealing space with the support of an able team, with Sandra Safta Waterhouse running the Contemporary department.

This is also the US base for Fine Art Brokers, our art advisory service.

Waterhouse & Dodd has mounted some major exhibitions in its galleries, from Impressionist paintings to Contemporary European, American and also Middle Eastern and Arab art, and exhibits at some of the most important art fairs in the world. As well as publishing various exhibition catalogues each year, our newsletter The Fine Art File is now up to issue 41.

During the 1990s we became more involved in offering professional advice to collectors, a service that has become one of the most respected art advisory services in the world, Fine Art Brokers.

Exclusive Interview with Nick Brandt About The Day May Break
Photographed in Zimbabwe and Kenya in late 2020, The Day May Break is the first part of a global series portraying people and animals impacted by environmental degradation and destruction. An ambitious and poetic project picturing people who have all been badly affected by climate change - some displaced by cyclones that destroyed their homes, others such as farmers displaced and impoverished by years-long severe droughts. All About Photo Presents American Portraits: 1978-2006 by Saul Bromberger
Many years later now that I am 63 years old, I have learned that it was in my early 20's when I had found my voice. It was then that I realized that my point of view had value and that I had something important to say and share with the world. I was capturing poignant scenes in our communities that I felt were significant for how they described the American culture, moments that captured American as well as universal sensibilities. Scenes that captured essential truths about people's hopes and their successes, their challenges and despair, their individuality and their relationships, during their day to day lives in our American communities. Scenes that defined an American way of life for me.
