InkJet Output was founded in the spring of 2004 as a division of Lightbox, Inc., with the idea that the digital printmaking craft is becoming more and more self-directed due to huge advancements in technology. As a result, desktop printing quality has reached acceptance as fine art coming directly from the artist or photographer. We find the opportunity to not compete with, but rather compliment the in-house solutions an artist has to print their images. InkJet Output is designed for those that want absolute control over the interpretive part of crafting an image, yet have virtual control over the actual printing. This spares the artist the task of buying equipment, calibration, and resources of providing the space for production to occur, and spending what many consider the most precious commodity - time.
