Monthly portfolio reviews at the PRC are one way that we find new talented photographers to invite to exhibit in NEO, Loupe, and our new Members Gallery at the PRC.

Registration: To reserve your slot, please call the PRC at 617-975-0600 on the specified registration day. This opportunity is only available for PRC Members. A benefit of PRC membership is one portfolio review per year of membership. Reviews are offered on a first come, first serve basis.

Preparing for your review Photographers who have already signed up for a review slot are required to send 4-6 jpg images (under 1mb each), a resume, and an artist statement to reviews@prcboston.org no later than the Monday prior to the review. The images should reflect the work that will be presented.

A portfolio review represents a cohesive body of work of a single theme or an on-going project. It should consist of 12 - 15 images illustrating your skill as a photographer, your ability to edit your work, and prepare your prints for exhibition. Your prints should be unframed, but appropriately matted or presented according to your vision, as though you were preparing for an exhibit (no slides, disks or books please). There is a non-refundable $50 charge for reviewing portfolios.

The Eye to Eye Portfolio Reviews take place in San Diego on Oct. 20-21, 2016, offering an opportunity for photographers to receive exposure and feedback about their work from influential gallery directors, curators, and industry professionals. The reviews represent an excellent opportunity to begin new relationships in the field, to develop important peer networks, and help gain valuable exposure for your work. Participants in the portfolio reviews are invited to attend our 2016 Keynote Lecture as part of their registration.

Review Santa Fe Photo Festival is the premier juried portfolio review event in the world. The festival will feature a number of ways to connect and participate including workshops, artist talks, and a special event honoring a photo luminary. The reviewers and the Review Santa Fe 100 Photographers travel from around the world to participate in this prestigious juried portfolio review, exhibition openings, and receptions. The Review Santa Fe selection committee is anonymous before and during the jurying process and will be announced after the photographers are notified. CENTER publishes a Juror's Statement by each member of the committee. The jurors credentials are comparable to those selected for the other awards: Project Launch, Project Development and The Choice Awards. The jury selects 100 photographers who are invited to attend the annual photo festival.

Themes + Projects offers portfolio reviews for fine art photographers. Our sessions last one hour with either Gallery Director or Gallery Manager. These sessions are a great way for photographers to receive valuable feedback and suggestions as to what fine art avenues to explore.

Participants of the Fresh Look reviews will be invited to a Fresh Look mixer and have the opportunity to be featured in the first ever Fresh Look Reviewer Picks projection show to be archived in the Fresh Look online gallery. Fresh Look - A Portfolio Review offers 20 minute reviews with industry professionals for $45 per review. The Los Angeles Center of Photography is pleased to announce its Third Annual Portfolio Reviews! Join us this summer for EXPOSURE 2017. The dates are Friday, July 14, 2017 at the Los Angeles Center of Photography and Saturday-Sunday, July 15-16, 2017 at the dnj Gallery in Bergamot Station. Meet face to face with gallery owners, photo editors, museum curators, publishers and other photo professionals.

On Saturday, July 15, 6-8 pm, EXPOSURE 2017 will coincide with LACP’s Fourth Annual Members’ exhibition opening reception at the dnj Gallery. The show is juried by Paula Tognarelli, Executive Director, Griffin Museum of Photography.

On Friday, July 14, 7-9 pm, LACP will host a Portfolio Walk. This event will be open to the public and anyone participating in the portfolio reviews can show their work. This will be a fun night and a chance to meet reviewers and see the work of your fellow photographers. Registration for EXPOSURE 2017 is open now!

In this annual artist professional development program, leading curators, art dealers, and educators provide expert advice and insights in a portfolio critique. Each artist participant will have the opportunity to meet with two reviewers for 20 minutes each (chosen during registration.) Space is limited – registration will be confirmed on a first come, first-serve basis. You must be an ICA Individual/Artist member to participate in this event.

Attention Artists! A generous ICA donor will sponsor three artists who need financial assistance to participate in the 2017 Artist Portfolio Reviews. This scholarship will cover the recipients $40 Individual membership and $65 registration fee. Scholarship recipients will also receive priority registration.
