Mono
Hosted by: PH21
Territory: Worldwide - Theme: Open
Entry Fee: €30.00
Prize: Exhibition
Monochrome photography is usually associated with black and white images. However, in the history of photography other hues, such as sepia and cyan were also used, and today there are countless examples of monochromatic images whose photographic qualities are based on the tonal range of various other colours. While monochromacity used to be a technological limitation for a long time, today it is more of an artistic choice. Photographers may opt for working with the shades of just one colour for compositional reasons or for reasons related to the expressive content of their images, and therefore their decision is to be interpreted. Our appreciation of contemporary monochromatic images is rooted in the knowledge that the lack of colour range is significant and meaningful, not merely a technological limitation. PH21 Gallery invites photographers to submit their work for a group exhibition themed Mono. We are looking for submissions from all photographers who create black and white or other monochromatic images and would like to share their work with a wider international audience through the exposure of PH21 Gallery. We welcome submissions from all photographic genres, including abstract compositions. We are interested in all possible creative photographic interpretations of the theme.

The contemporary Nude
Hosted by: SE Center for Photography
Territory: Worldwide
Entry Fee: $35 for 5 images
Prize: Exhibition
The fine art nude has been a celebrated subject of photography since the beginning and played an important role in establishing photography as a fine art medium. Early on, both in history and most photographers experience, the nude has been featured in a classical pose and setting, maturing to illustrating the human body as a sculptural abstraction, and with some pushing boundaries. With the 21st century flooding us, the photographer and the viewer, with images of the nude in every form of media, it has become more difficult for the fine art nude photographer to make a statement. The SE Center is looking for photographers who can make a statement. Stop us in our tracks and make us see more in the image. Our juror for the Contemporary Nude is Mona Kuhn. Mona Kuhn was born in São Paulo, Brazil, in 1969, and in 1989, moved to the US and received her US Citizenship. Kuhn earned her BA from The Ohio State University, before furthering her studies at the San Francisco Art Institute. She is currently an independent scholar at The Getty Research Institute in Los Angeles. Kuhn is best known for her large-scale, dream-like photographs of the human form. Her work often reference classical themes with a light and insightful touch. Kuhn’s approach to her photography is unusual in that she usually develops close relationships with her subjects, resulting in images of remarkable naturalness and intimacy, and creating the effect of people naked but comfortable in their own skin. 35-40 Selected images will hang in the SE Center’s main gallery space for approximately one month with the opportunity to be invited for a solo show at a later date.

Entry Fee: No - FREE
Prize: Exhibition
We are currently seeking organizations, artists, and galleries for digital art exhibitions all over the world.
At Daylighted we connect artists and galleries with collectors through exhibitions in premium venues.
Our exhibitions program utilizes the SmArtGalleries, high resolution, color corrected digital monitors that display artwork with sharp, vibrant fidelity and detail. Although the image is digital, we sell artworks in all media, and focus on exhibiting and selling 2-dimensional work.
We display art in upscale venues such as hotels and restaurants, among them Sofitel Beverly Hills (LA, CA) Empress Hotel (La Jolla, CA), Phoenix Hotel (SF, CA), William Vale (Brooklyn, NY). It is a very good opportunity for artists to show their works digitally and broaden their audience.
The service is free for artists. As an artist, you benefit from free exposure and marketing and will get 70% commission when you sell pieces. We will exhibit you and your work in front of a large and elite audience.
Our team of curators are currently reviewing portfolios. Please send us an email to: curators@daylighted.com

SPACES (Saving and Preserving Arts and Cultural Environments) is a California-based non-profit archive established in 1978 to identify, document, and advocate for the preservation of large-scale art environments, and self-taught art.
SPACES recently launched a beautiful digital archive of more than 1,400 art environments around the world, and the organization is regularly digitizing archival holdings, soliciting new documentation and writing about the sites, and sharing resources and updates on the preservation and conservation of threatened vernacular art sites, such as Rev. Howard Finster's Paradise Gardens, Leonard Knight's Salvation Mountain, or Simon Rodia's Watts Towers.
The SPACES archive is a wonderful resource for the classroom, AND a great opportunity to exhibit your own photographs of art environments and vernacular architecture from around the world via our digital Online Collection, furthering access and education surrounding the documentation of this genre of vernacular architecture + self-taught art.
Please consider submitting photographs for any site that is not already listed, or contribute images you may have already taken at art environments. Credit is always given, and any donated materials are digitized and cared for in our Aptos, CA archive for perpetuity according to best practices.

Nine Dot Arts Artist Database
Hosted by: Nine Dot Arts
Territory: Worldwide - Theme: Open
Eligibility: Everyone is welcome to apply. This is a rolling call for entry and will not have a deadline.
Entry Fee: No - FREE
Nine dot Arts’ artist database is internally used by our team of art consultants. After an extensive visual preference survey is given to our clients we refer to our database to choose the most appropriate art to present.

We present work in all styles and mediums including paintings, prints, photography, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, and other art media. We typically place larger works (i.e. 20” x 20” and larger) of art because corporate spaces have very large walls. However, smaller series of works can be used in multiples.
There are three subject matters we rarely work with. They are nudes, strong political tones, and religious iconography. If your work consists solely of any of these please reconsider applying to this call.
